Hoole

Handbridge

Handbridge is a pretty suburb located just over the River Dee with high quality local independent shops and pubs.  It offers great schools and is just a short walk away from the city. Edgar’s Field is a picturesque park in Handbridge near the Old Dee Bridge encompassing a popular play area for young children.

Tarvin

If you want to live a little further away from the bustle of Chester city and more into the Cheshire countryside, Tarvin is a beautiful village just 5 miles East of the city.

With a small selection of restaurants, pubs and shops on a lovely high street, Tarvin is perfect for those who want more of the countryside whilst being within easy reach of the city.

Christleton

Another popular rural village close to Chester is Christleton. It boasts all the things you could want from a quant Cheshire village, including a village green, pub, post office and local shop, as well as a popular High school.

Chester offers excellent transport, including a train and bus station in the city centre. Its accessible motorways, including the M6, M56 and M53 make it the ideal base for visiting Manchester, Liverpool, Shropshire, Staffordshire and the Peak District.
