  1. Outdoor space

The recent lockdown forced has led to more people appreciating the outdoors and engaging with nature so there is a more demand for attractive and functional outdoor space. Even if you aren’t very green fingered, a well presented garden, with lawns neatly trimmed and tress cut back will add more appeal to home buyers.

  1. Broadband

In an increasingly connected world and as more people work from home, a good broadband signal has become a staple requirement for anyone buying a new home. It seems property buyers are taking this into consideration, questioning broadband availability even before they step foot into your home.

  1. Energy-efficiency

There’s no surprise that energy efficiency has made it to the top 10 list for today’s savvy buyers. Features such as double-glazing and solar panelled roofs all help trim down utility costs and save the environment too.

Buyers with growing families look for lots of storage space; whether it be a garage, shed or a loft.  Before putting your property on the market, a good clear out will help keep your storage units tidy so that potential buyers can see how much space there is to store tools, bikes and other household clutter.

Eat-in kitchens is a must for those with children at home, and even couples living together prefer to cook, socialise and eat from one room.
