Properties on the market in Chester with no onward chain
It’s no big secret that the housing market is booming, and with that means that properties tend to get snapped up as soon as they come onto the market. However, it’s not only the time it takes to find a suitable property that’s the issue, it’s also the buyer’s circumstances and whether they’re involved in a property chain in their onward purchase.
Long chains can often cause delays in the sale of a property and if you’re biting at the bit and ready to go, you don’t want to be waiting too long before moving into your new home.
Despite the lack of supply on the market at the moment, we still have a few properties with no onward chain in a range of price brackets:
Abbots Park, Chester – £585,000
This is a substantially extended five bedroom, two bathroom detached house, in an extremely sought-after area just a mile from Chester city centre.
The fifth bedroom can be conveniently used as a home office, and the property also benefits from a useful garage and a spacious kitchen/diner.
Abbots Park has long been regarded as one of Chester’s premier locations with its backwater feel combined with excellent proximity to numerous facilities, including all of the Queen independent School, various supermarkets including Morrisons, the Countess of Chester Hospital, the Church of England primary school in Walpole Street, the Bache and Chester railway stations.
Wealstone Lane, Upton – £495,000
An extended three-bedroom detached house in Upton with no onward chain. The property boasts various period features, an extremely useful loft room, garage, front and rear gardens, driveway with multiple parking spaces, and a sought after location to the north of Chester.

Mercia Grove, Saighton – £285,000
A tastefully presented three bedroom, two bathroom, post-millennium mid mews house built in 2019, with double driveway, south east facing rear garden, and a sought-after landmark development location to the south east of Chester.
Mercia Grove is a highly regarded development in a semi-rural and extremely popular location. Within easy reach of the wider north west road communications network via the Boughton Heath Interchange, as well as of course the historic Roman city of Chester with all of its attendant amenities and facilities.
Tegid Way, Saltney – £230,000
A well presented late 1970s three bedroom detached house, with very attractive rear garden located in this very popular residential location to the south west of Chester, ideal for first time buyers who don’t want to be involved in a chain.
The property also benefits from excellent green credentials, due to its solar PV panel array comprising twelve cells and on a feed-in tariff with Scottish Power.
