How landlords can easily switch letting agents in the middle of a tenancy -

Changing letting agents in the middle of a tenancy is a really straightforward process for landlords. There’s a common misconception that you need to wait until your tenant contract has come to an end to appoint a new agent, but this is not the case.

Contacting the tenant

We will contact the tenant to introduce ourselves and let them know we are the new appointed agents. We’ll outline how we work and what service levels they can expect from us. We’ll also ensure the tenant has all our contact details should anything go wrong. We will also send them the details of where to pay their next month’s rent.

Property documents

We will need a copy of your previous Tenancy Agreement, including inventories, safety certificates and warranties.  If any of these documents or Agreements are incomplete, or are not fully compliant with current legislation, we will re-write these for you.

Collect keys

We will arrange collection of keys to the property from your previous letting agent on your behalf.

Property Inspection

As new managing agents, we will want to carry out our own inspection of the property rather than rely on the previous agent’s report. This will allow usto check the property is being well looked after and if there is any maintenance needed.
