Chester University Society Awards Night
Matthew’s of Chester’s annual award this year went to STEMS (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths)
Jane and Chloe from our Student Houseshare department (pictured) work closely with Chester University to find accommodation for students each year and so were delighted to be invited to the dinner to present the award.
STEMS is a recently formed society and is based on the Thornton Campus with over 35 members. The society provides an innovative approach with networking events for students from Chemical Engineering talk to Fastest Diesel engine providing important career links for the future. They listen to their members and organises speakers from the societies interests. They also organise and participate in events throughout the year including Frank Morton Sports Day and Student F1 Racing Event. We decided to present the award and cheque to this society due to the innovation they have shown giving the students opportunities to develop their career path and interests.
