Babygrow appeal – Matthew’s of Chester fundraising update
Matthew’s raise over £1,500 raised for Countess of Chester Babygrow appeal
Matthew’s are very proud to announce that we have raised over £1,500 for the local Countess of Chester Hospital Babygrow appeal. A big thank you to all our clients and contractors, friends and family who dug deep for this great cause. The money was raised through a combination of the Zip Wire challenge and the sale of the doll’s house kindly donated by Ron Stanton.
The fabulous doll’s house was picked up today by the winning bidder, Samantha Weaver, who will be putting it away for her lovely daughter to play with when she’s a few years older. Sam had a doll’s house herself when she was little and had hours of enjoyment playing with it so wanted her own daughter to have one to play with.
Also pictured is Ben Griffiths who kindly donated £200 worth of doll’s house furniture to add to the prize. Ben and his family run the online Dolls House Furniture business and were keen to help with fundraising as their own son had spent some time in the Neonatal unit when he was first born.
The rest of the funds were raised following the Zip Wire challenge undertaken by Rebecca, Karen, Haf,Chloe and Lizzy – a pretty hair-raising experience for all concerned! Click here to view a video of the experience.
